Inclusivity

June 2024

At the Restos du Cœur, we believe in a fundamental value: hunger knows no borders or colour. No matter where you come from, if you are hungry, you deserve our help. In honour of World Refugee Day on 20 June, we would like to reaffirm our commitment to welcome everyone, regardless of origin or religion. For us, an empty stomach has no nationality.

Every day, we work to offer a hot meal, a smile, and a little hope to those who need it most, whether they are refugees, migrants, or Belgian citizens. Together, let's create moments of solidarity and compassion for all those who are simply seeking a bit of comfort and humanity.

The Restos du Cœur offer a convivial table and welcome guests without any limitations on origin and without distinction of gender, age, culture, origin, or religion. The opinions and philosophical, political, and religious convictions of all users (employees, volunteers, and beneficiaries) are respected absolutely. We firmly believe that the diversity of our beneficiaries enriches our community and strengthens our mission.

Any form of discrediting and stigmatisation of the user that would further marginalise them is prohibited. We are committed to combating stigmatisation and promoting inclusion, making sure that each person is treated with respect and dignity.

By reaffirming our commitment to inclusivity, we hope to inspire others to join our cause and work together for a future where no one is left behind.
