All that we accomplished in 2023

Here is an overview of our impact in 2023 made possible by the solidarity and generosity of our donors.

National Food Drive

In March, we raised 24,289 kg of essential goods during our national food drive. These donations are essential to meet the needs of our many beneficiaries.

Back-to-school kits

We distributed 3,208 back-to-school kits to ensure that every child has the same chances of success. Promoting inclusion and equal opportunities remains one of our priorities from the earliest age on.

Festive meals to everyone

Thanks to you, we were able to offer 7,163 festive meals to our beneficiaries. These moments of sharing and conviviality, open to all, are crucial for bringing warmth and comfort during the year-end holiday season.

Processing and redistributing goods

Our Federation processed and redistributed 962,122 kg of goods this year, including 444 tons of fruits and vegetables, 53 tons of potatoes, and 19 tons of pasta.

Meals distributed

In 2023, we distributed 1,621,489 meals -- an increase of + 141 % in just four years… This figure reflects the rise in poverty, but also our ability to mobilise the necessary resources to address the challenge.

Other significant achievements

We distributed subsidies to various Restos du Cœur. Totalling more than €200,000 in 2023, these funds were used for investments for numerous improvements in the facilities of certain Restos du Cœur, including the installation of solar panels, roof insulation, cold storage or freezing rooms, replacement of window frames, etc.

We also contributed to the establishment of a social grocery store at the Resto du Cœur in Wavre and the purchase of refrigerated vans to make our services even more efficient.

The year 2023 was marked by an immense challenge: welcoming and helping a growing number of beneficiaries. Our teams worked tirelessly, supported by the generosity of our donors. All this is possible thanks to our donors. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
