April 2024
The National Food Collection drive organised on 15 and 16 March in 31 collection points yielded 26,434 kg of food and hygiene products, i.e. 2 tonnes more than in 2023.
This is a rather mixed result, however, with a higher number of collection points than in 2023 (+8). We had hoped to collect 30 tonnes this year. But we understand this outcome. While they still continue to support us, many donors are in fact no longer able to help us in the same way as before because they are themselves financially impacted. This is a sign that the effects of the recent crises are unfortunately still very much present for many families.
In spite of everything donors have in a gesture of solidarity contributed to our work to the best of their ability, and we are extremely grateful. This chain of solidarity, together with the donations collected during the online campaign last March, will enable us to stock the shelves and storage spaces for the Restos du Cœur so that they can continue their mission with their beneficiaries.
