2024: A year of solidarity in the face of the food industry

In 2024, the Restos du Cœur distributed 1,631,189 meals. This impressive figure highlights the extent of poverty in our country, but also the generosity and commitment of our donors and volunteers.

An ever growing demand

Every year, we witness a rise in the number of people who walk through the doors of our Restos du Cœur: single-parent families, students, precarious workers, pensioners… more and more people are affected by hardship. In 2024, the surge in demand forced us to purchase 141,810 kilos of goods, i.e. three times more than in 2023 – a colossal financial effort that is stretching our resources to the limit.

Importance of solidarity

If we manage to meet these growing needs, it's thanks to the mobilisation of everyone:

  • Our volunteers, who dedicate their energy to distribution and to supporting beneficiaries.
  • Our donors and partners, who help us collect food and diversify the food aid provided.
  • Our drives, such as the Annual Food Drive, which bolster our stocks to ensure the continuity of our mission.

Urgency to keep acting

Despite this wave of solidarity, our reserves are under pressure and the future remains uncertain. In order to continue our mission and guarantee meals for those in need, we need your support more than ever.
