In 2024, the Restos du Cœur of Belgium distributed 1,631,189 meals. Poverty is not diminishing; it is becoming entrenched. But in the face of ever-growing demand, our reserves are depleting dangerously.

While we can rely on unsold food from our partners, it is no longer enough. To make up for the shortfall, we had to purchase 141,810 kilos of goods, i.e. 3.4 times more than in 2023. This colossal expenditure jeopardises our ability to help the most vulnerable at risk.
